Each applicant should submit a 2-3 minute Video Entry of the contestant(s) performing their talent. Types of talent may include vocal solo, dance routine,
trumpet trio, juggling, comedian, etc. *NO BANDS OR ANIMAL ACTS WILL BE ACCEPTED (ONLY SOLO ACTS, ENSEMBLES, OR SMALL GROUPS). **AT LEAST ONE PARTICIPANT IN EACH ENTRY MUST RESIDE IN CLAY COUNTY, MISSOURI. ***CLAY COUNTY HAS TALENT 2010 WINNERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO ENTER CLAY COUNTY HAS TALENT 2011. ****According to the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA), cash prizes are not a violation of amateur status as long as the participants are not representing their schools. Therefore, no Clay County Has Talent participants will be representing their schools. Instead, they will only be representing themselves or their own groups. If you have questions, then you can contact MSHSAA. The division in which an act will compete will depend on the current grade level of the contestants. The entry will be included in the age division of the highest grade level of any member of your entry (i.e. if one member is in the 9th grade and the other members are all in the 8th grade, then this entry will be included in the High School division). See the "How to Enter" link on the left side of this website for instructions on submitting your entry. After all video entries have been viewed, a certain number of entries will be invited to a live audition round on Saturday, March 19th between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon. The applicants who make it to the audition round will be notified of the time and location of their audition at least one week before March 19th. |
